homeschool Support services
The Homeschool/Educational Center serves as a homeschool resource for parents. The school-type setting allows children to attend during the day, with or without their parents present, in order to study the core subjects of Math, Reading, and Language. It is not designed to be a "traditional school". It is designed to offer each child individualized attention while also teaching each child to learn and discover material on his/her own. Each parent has a role to plan and responsibilities associated with their child's schooling.
The process begins with an interview and registration meeting. During the meeting, parents and staff will discuss the needs of the child. The parent will leave with a Needs Assessment form to fill out and return during the Needs Assessment Meeting.
A second meeting, the Needs Assessment Meeting, will involve creating a specific plan for the child. The parents and staff will work together to create an individual plan for the child. The child's strengths and weaknesses will be considered as well as the child's past school experiences.
Conferences will be scheduled with parents to inform them of their child's progress throughout the year.

parent roles and responsibilities
Because a parent has chosen to homeschool their child, they are ultimately responsible for their child's education.
Parents are expected to take active roles in the education process. This may include attending classes with their child and reinforcing skills at home.
